Georgetown couldn’t make it easy on themselves at all on Wednesday night, as they found themselves on the receiving end of a 97-70 thumping by the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 3rd Place Game in the 2016 Maui Jim Maui Invitational.
The Hoyas looked listless in the 27-point loss and allowed a staggering 50 points at the end of the first half and trailed by 15 entering the break. It didn’t get much better from their as Oklahoma State ran all over them and seemed to hit shots with relative ease.
With the loss, Georgetown falls to 2-4 on the year after a 1-2 stint in a place that was anything but paradise for them.
