BIG EAST Men’s Track Athlete of the Week
Amos Bartelsmeyer, Georgetown, Sr., Middle Distance (St. Louis, Mo.)
Georgetown senior Amos Bartelsmeyer finished third in the 1,500-meter run at the George Mason Spring Invitational. He was running the 1,500-meter race for the first time since the 2015 season. His time tops the BIG EAST and ranks 19th in the East Region and 35th nationally. Bartelsmeyer ran one of three times from that weekend that top the BIG EAST list in their respective event, joining him was fellow Hoya Joe White who ran the league’s fastest 400-meter dash.
