NEW YORK – No. 3 seed Georgetown defeated Louisville, 5-1, on Sunday afternoon to advance to the 2019 NCAA Men’s Soccer Quarterfinals. The Hoyas are the last team left of the four BIG EAST men’s soccer teams to qualify and the three men’s soccer teams who played in the NCAA Third Round. Providence was edged by No. 2 seed Clemson on Sunday night in double overtime, while No. 16 seed St. John’s lost to the overall No. 1 seed, Virginia, 3-0 on Saturday night.
Georgetown (17-1-2) has outscored its NCAA opponents 10-1 in the tournament so far.
