The Georgetown Hoyas (6-1, Big East) notched their third-straight victory on Wednesday evening, defeating the Richmond Spiders (2-5, Atlantic 10), 90-82.
Jessie Govan got going early, scoring four points in the game’s opening two-and-a-half minutes. James Akinjo, Mac McClung and Trey Mourning added buckets before the first media timeout as the Georgetown offense rolled early. Greg Malinowski added five points off the bench on his first two offensive possessions midway through half.
But the Spiders stayed within striking distance thanks to balanced scoring from their starters. Nathan Cayo and Jake Wojcik scored 12 and nine points in the half, respectively.
