The Butler Bulldogs appear to have put their loss to Maryland in the rear view mirror, as they defeated the Furman Paladins, 82-65 at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.
Perhaps most impressively about the Bulldogs victory was where there scoring came from. Of the 82 points, 70 came from just four players. Tyler Wideman had 19, Kamar Baldwin has 18, Sean McDermott had 17, and Paul Jorgensen had 16. That group also shot an impressive 27-41 (.658) from the field. If you include Kelan Martin’s eight points, 95% of Butler’s points came from five players, which is unique.
