After missing last spring, Providence grad student forward Davis Smith kicked off the opening weekend of fall 2021 with a league-best five points on two goals and one assist. Smith helped the Friars to a 3-0 victory over then-No. 23 Fordham on Friday night scoring the security goal in the 85th minute unassisted. Smith came off the bench to play 61 minutes as he peppered the Rams net with six shots, three on goal. On Sunday, Smith was moved to the starting 11.
