GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No. 1 seed Florida defeated No. 3 seed Denver, 18-6, on Saturday at Donald R. Dizney Stadium to win the 2018 BIG EAST Women’s Lacrosse Championship presented by Jeep. The Gators become the first team in league history to win four conference championships, with Florida doing so in consecutive fashion. UF’s Lindsey Ronbeck ran away with Championship Most Outstanding Player honors, snapping a bevy of BIG EAST Tournament records to lead the Gators. With the win, Florida earns the BIG EAST’s automatic bid into the 2018 NCAA Championship, guaranteeing its eighth straight trip to the national tournament.
