DePaul hasn’t been known for having a flair for the dramatic in the past few years. But that didn’t stop them from engineering a comeback victory over the Missouri State Bears on Wednesday night.
Off the back of a Billy Garrett jumper that beat the buzzer, the Blue Demons stunned the visiting Bears 68-66. The bucket from Garrett propels DePaul to a 3-1 start on the year, marking the third time in the last four years that they have gotten off to such a start through the first four games of the year.
Garrett was impactful in the victory as he scored a game-high 23 points on 15 shots.
