Carter Gilmore couldn’t picture himself in any other uniform that didn’t have Wisconsin on the front of it.
The 6-foot-7, 200 pound forward from Hartland, Wisc. had his eyes set on becoming a Badger at a very young age.
His father once played for former Wisconsin coach Bo Ryan during Ryan’s first-ever collegiate head coaching gig at Wisconsin-Platteville. His family is full of Badger fans, so it was only natural that Gilmore became one too.
He’ll have an opportunity to live out his childhood dream, saying no to his other Division I offers to become a preferred walk-on at Wisconsin.
