NEW YORK – Creighton guard Marcus Zegarowski has been selected BIG EAST Player of the Week and St. John’s guard Posh Alexander has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week. Both players led their teams to 2-0 weeks away from home.
BIG EAST Player of the Week
Marcus Zegarowski, Creighton, G, Jr. – Zegarowski averaged 18.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds, while shooting 53.3 percent from 3-point range. He helped the Bluejays at critical times in an 85-81 win at Seton Hall and a 69-62 victory at DePaul. Against Seton Hall, he made the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:07 left.
