Creighton comfortably defeated rival Nebraska on Friday night in Omaha.
The Bluejays won 98-74 to keep the state ‘blue’ for at least another year. The Jays have won 10 of the last 12 matchups with the Cornhuskers, and have lost just one (2018) since joining the Big East in the 2013-14 season.
Creighton picked up the win in part because of the play of Marcus Zegarowski. The Preseason Big East Player of the Year dropped 22 points and shot 5-of-7 on 3-point attempts. Zegarowski also went a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line, and added three rebounds, four steals and five assists to his line.
