For the third time in four years, the Creighton Bluejays are returning from Feast Week with some hardware, as the Bluejays took down the #16 Clemson Tigers, 87-82, to win the Cayman Islands Classic.
The game was the culmination of a great week for Creighton, as the Bluejays were reeling after their Gavitt Games loss to Ohio State. It would have been easy for Creighton to fold in the face of adversity, but they showed what they were made of.
Ty-Shon Alexander was the story of this game. The sophomore guard had a career-high 36 points on just 16 shots and knocked down seven threes, bringing his season total to 21.
