The Creighton Bluejays have had a habit of landing impact transfers in recent years. That could very well continue with the addition of New Mexico Lobos forward Damien Jefferson.
Jefferson, a rising sophomore, announced the move on his personal Twitter account on Thursday.
Due to NCAA rules, Jefferson will be sitting out the 2017-18 season, but will be eligible for 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21.
While in Albuquerque, the East Chicago, Indiana native averaged 5.3 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while shooting 43.8 percent from the field. Jefferson is a former three-star recruit who ranked ninth in the state of Indiana going into last season.
