Creighton Bluejays guard Marcus Foster was named a finalist for the 2017 Jerry West Award Tuesday morning.
Foster has impressed in his first season at Creighton, averaging 18.0 points per game. That number leads Creighton and is fourth in the Big East.
As this is just the third year the Jerry West Award has existed, it comes as no surprise that no Big East player has won. The two previous winners are Ohio State’s D’Angelo Russell and Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield.
The full list of finalists can be found below. The award will be presented April 7 as part of ESPN’s College Basketball Awards show.
