Connecticut’s Charlotte Veitner Honored as NFHCA Division I Mideast Regional Player of the Year

GILBERT, Ariz. – Connecticut senior forward Charlotte Veitner has been selected the Longstreth/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Mideast Regional Player of the Year, as announced on Tuesday. The honor marks the fifth-straight season that a Connecticut student-athlete has won the award.

Veitner capped her career by leading Connecticut to the national championship with an undefeated season while also topping the NCAA leaderboard in both points (3.64) and goals (1.55) per game. Her 34 goals were nine more than any other player in the nation, and her 80 points were 16 ahead of the next closest competitor.
