Butler’s Eric Dick, Georgetown’s Christopher Lema Named United Soccer Coaches All-America

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced their All-America Men’s Soccer teams on Thursday night, prior to the 2017 College Cup. The BIG EAST boasted two players on the national squads with Butler keeper Eric Dick on the First Team and Georgetown midfielder Christopher Lema on the Second Team.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year Dick is the second first-team All-American in Butler history, joining Ben Sippola (2010). Only five other Bulldogs have ever earned a spot on the second- or third-team All-American lists by United Soccer Coaches (formerly known as the NSCAA). The 6-5 goalkeeper led the Bulldogs to a 14-5-2 overall record, a BIG EAST regular season championship, and an appearance in the NCAA Third Round.
