The Big East, and the Big 10, came calling for Doug Konieczny Jr., a 6-foot-6 wing.
It was an affirmation of the hard work he had put in after receiving his first Division I offers last fall. However, once Notre Dame entered the picture, Konieczny took a visit to make sure that playing for his hometown team was truly the future he wanted.
Konieczny, a native of South Bend, Ind., committed to Notre Dame on Sunday. Upon graduating high school in a couple of years, he will be making the one-mile move from St. Joseph’s (Ind.
