Rising sophomore forward Jackson Davis of Lexington, Kentucky will be transferring from Butler University.
Scout.com's Evan Daniels first reported the news on Tuesday that Davis, who played in 17 games in the 2015-16 season, would be leaving Indianapolis for newer and perhaps greener pastures.
Butler forward Jackson Davis has requested a release to potentially transfer, per a source. Would have two years of eligibility remaining.

The report would later then be corroborated by David Woods of the Indianapolis Star:
Given that Davis, as well as many of the Butler freshmen, didn't see the floor with a crowded roster full of upperclassmen it shouldn't come as much a surprise that one of them has decided to depart, likely to seek more playing time.
