SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The UConn baseball season came to an end on Sunday with a 14-9 defeat to Central Michigan at Frank Eck Stadium on the campus of Notre Dame.
The Huskies finished with a 34-19 record and earned their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance and seventh in the last 11 completed seasons.
UConn won both the BIG EAST regular season and tournament championships for the first time in program history.
Three-year captain Chris Winkel played in his 243rd career game on Sunday, passing Billy Ferriter for the most games played in UConn history.
