CHICAGO - From the basketball court to the healthcare front lines, former Blue Demons are doing whatever they can to battle the coronavirus pandemic.
Peter Ryckbosch was a power forward with the men's basketball team from 2012 to 2018 in a career that saw him miss two seasons because of knee injuries.
The DePaul graduate is now working at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in the emergency room fighting to save lives after earning his Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences in 2017 and his Masters of Science in Nursing in 2019.
Alongside him is fellow Blue Demon basketball player Brooke Schulte who also graduated from DePaul's nursing school and landed in the same emergency room as Ryckbosch.
