BIG EAST teams went 2-0 in midweek action as Connecticut topped local foe Fairfield, 13-12, and -/RV Temple trampled Monmouth, 18-7. The Huskies scored two goals less than 90 seconds apart to break an 11-11 tie with less than seven minutes to go. The Stags struck once more but UConn managed to keep them off the board for the final 96 seconds to preserve the win. Grace Nolan finished with four points off two goals, including the game winner, and two assists, while Grace Breshlian made 15 saves.
