Chloe O’Neill provided the heroics for the Wildcats on Wednesday against James Madison, scoring the game-tying goal in the 49th minute before assisting on Ida DiClemente’s game winner in the 84th. Villanova outshot JMU by a 17-5 margin and held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks. DiClemente’s strike gave Villanova a 3-1 lead before the Dukes narrowed the margin to 3-2 three minutes later, but the Wildcats hung on for their second straight win, improving to 2-1-0 on the year.
