All five BIG EAST women’s soccer matches were decided by a single goal, including two in overtime.
More Than Halfway Home
BIG EAST women’s soccer play passed the halfway point on Sunday as all 10 teams played their fifth league match of the year. No. 5 Georgetown took advantage of an overtime win against Villanova and Butler falling at St. John’s to create a five-point gap between first and second place. The Bulldogs held onto their spot in second and Villanova in third, but the pack in fourth quadrupled as Providence, Xavier and St. John’s joined DePaul.
