Christina Bellero totaled three points to lead St. John’s (1-0-1) to its first win of the season, a 2-1 victory over local foe Marist. The junior forward opened the scoring in the 61st minute with her second goal of the season, before assisting on what would be the game winner by Mariela Jacome in the 68th minute. The Red Foxes responded late with a score in the 86th, but St. John’s was able to hold off the surge.
