NEW YORK – Georgetown’s Shaw Field will see a champion crowned for the third season in a row as the top-seeded Hoyas host second-seeded Butler in Sunday’s BIG EAST Women’s Soccer Championship final. GU defeated No. 4 seed Xavier, 3-1, while the Bulldogs bounced sixth-seeded Providence, 3-2, in Thursday’s semifinal matches to advance to Sunday’s title bout. This marks the second consecutive season GU and BU will play in the final at Shaw Field, with Georgetown eyeing its third consecutive crown.
