In a weekend in which more than half the games were decided by a single goal, BIG EAST women’s lacrosse teams combined for a 4-3 record, led by Butler’s 2-0 mark with wins over Akron and Kent State. No. 25 Georgetown improved to 3-2 with an overtime win over Delaware, while Marquette split in its cross-country road trip to Arizona which included a win over Fresno State in Tempe. Five of six BIG EAST teams return to the field on Wednesday, including nationally ranked Denver which suffered its first setback of the season on Sunday with a 14-13 heartbreaker to Vanderbilt.
