The Pirates fell behind by seven after a quarter, but dug in for a tight second frame to go into the half down 41-31. The Hall went ice cold in the third quarter, scoring only six points in the frame and seeing UCLA's lead balloon to as many as 26 early in the third. The Hall again fought back and got as close as 12 in the final stanza before ultimately succumbing.
