Providence 73, Butler 52
Less than 24 hours after a tough loss at Marquette, Providence rebounded in a big way with a 73-52 win at Butler on Saturday afternoon inside Hinkle Fieldhouse. The win brought the Friars to an even .500 on the year (3-3) and in BIG EAST play (1-1), while the contest was the first of the season for the Bulldogs (0-1). Kyra Spiwak had the hot hand, making 8-of-12 attempts from beyond the arc for a career-high 28 points for Providence. Fellow Friar Mary Baskerville notched her first double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
