The Friars claimed the season sweep over the Bulldogs with Thursday’s win at Alumni Hall, backed by a balanced scoring attack of four players in double figures. Chanell Williams led all scorers with 16 points off 7-of-12 shooting, while Okako Adika led Butler with 14 points, including four made triples. Providence (5-6, 3-3 BIG EAST) jumped out to a 17-4 first-quarter lead before Butler (0-5, 0-4) rallied back with a 19-point second quarter. PC maintained a double-digit cushion in the second half before a 10-2 Butler run in the fourth made it a single-digit game, 55-46, with under four minutes to go.
