NEW YORK – No BIG EAST men’s lacrosse teams played a midweek contest this past week but all six will play over the weekend with five games on Saturday and one on Sunday. The BIG EAST has two teams ranked in the top 10 this week as Denver remained steady at No. 4/5 and Villanova jumped up from No. 15/15 to No. 7/8. The Wildcats opened their season so far with two overtime wins over higher-ranked opponents.
Three games start at noon. St. John’s (1-1) hosts High Point in Queens at noon on Saturday. The Red Storm is coming off a 14-12 win over Hartford.
