The success of road teams in BIG EAST play continued on Wednesday with Creighton rallying to win at Seton Hall and St. John’s capturing a victory at DePaul. Providence was only team to win in its home jerseys, beating Marquette in overtime.
Home teams are 25-21 (.543) after Wednesday’s results.
In a game of runs at Prudential Center, Seton Hall put together a 54-point first half, but No. 17 Creighton closed the contest with a 14-2 spurt and went home with an 85-81 victory. The Bluejays’ Mitch Ballock, who had a combined 10 points in his previous two games, poured in a season-high 29, which included 7-of-12 from 3-point range.
