Both road teams won conference games Thursday with Creighton and Seton Hall enjoying the night in their medium blue uniforms.
Ninth-ranked Creighton got off to an early 11-2 lead at St. John’s and recorded a 94-76 victory at Carnesecca Arena. The Johnnies got as close as two points three times early in the second half, but a balanced scoring attack improved the Bluejays to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in BIG EAST play. Marcus Zegarowski, who did not make a 3-pointer in Monday’s home loss to Marquette, shot 6-of-7 from 3-point range and finished with a game-high 20 points.
