Both BIG EAST games went down to the wire on Saturday afternoon with one going to overtime. DePaul stepped out of league play and rolled to a victory.
At Hinkle Fieldhouse, Butler overcame a 13-point deficit with less than eight minutes to play in regulation to score a 70-66 overtime win against eighth-ranked Creighton. The Bulldogs (4-7, 3-5 BIG EAST) led the entire first half before the Bluejays (10-3, 6-2 BIG EAST) stormed back with a 23-3 run early in the second half. Butler rallied to tie the game at the end of regulation and outscored Creighton 8-4 in the extra sessions.
