Creighton Takes Road Win at Georgetown
In Tuesday’s action, Butler overcame a 16-point first-half deficit and ended St. John’s six-game winning streak, squeezing out a win in overtime. Creighton turned the tables on Georgetown, avenging a loss to the Hoyas six days earlier.
At Hinkle Fieldhouse, Butler (7-10, 6-8 BIG EAST) earned a 76-73 overtime win. The Bulldogs’ Aaron Thompson finished with 17 points and 10 assists. His basket with two seconds left in regulation forced the extra session. Bryce Nze also posted a double-double with 19 points and a game-high 10 rebounds.
