NEW YORK – Connecticut’s Sophie Hamilton was named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, while Defensive Player of the Year honors went to freshman goalie Azul Iritxity Irigoyen from Liberty. Irigoyen along with UConn’s Claire van den Noort and Old Dominion’s Marlon de Bruijne shared Co-Freshman of the Year honors.
