#BIGEASTfh Minute: Teams Fight to Stay Undefeated in League Play

Recapping Week 2 of BIG EAST Play
Old Dominion kicked off the second week of conference play topping Georgetown 5-0 behind four points from Danielle Grega and stellar defense. Overall, ODU registered 12 shots total while the Hoyas posted nine. Top-ranked Connecticut took down Temple 6-0 by way of a hat trick from Charlotte Veitner. Liberty followed with a 6-1 victory over fellow league newcomer Quinnipiac. The Lady Flames’ offensive showing saw goals from five different players, including two from Abby Julius. Closing out Friday, Providence defeated Villanova, 3-1. The conference foes were deadlocked in a 1-1 tie at the half, but the Friars secured the go-ahead goal and eventual game winner from Adrienne Houle in the 60th minute.
