Parker Upton, Creighton, Sr. OF (Grand Island, Neb.)
Creighton senior Parker Upton set the tone for the 3-1 series win over St. John’s in the first inning Friday night as he blasted a grand slam to help the Bluejays take the opener, 6-1. Upton led Creighton with a .400 (6-for-15) average. He led the BIG EAST last week in RBI with eight while adding two stolen bases, a .667 slugging percentage and a .412 on-base percentage. Upton had two multi-hit games, going 2-for-4 in the opener and 2-for-5 in the series finale.
