NEW YORK - Xavier's second appearance in the NCAA tournament in three years starts Friday night as the Musketeers take on the top seed and host school in the region - Vanderbilt at 8 p.m. on ESPN3. The Musketeers are 30-28 overall and have won 16 times in their last 18 games.
It is the second time in three years Xavier, the BIG EAST regular season and tournament champions received the automatic berth to the NCAA Championship from the BIG EAST. The Musketeers are riding a six-game winning streak and were undefeated in the BIG EAST Tournament.
