NEW YORK – A record three BIG EAST Volleyball players were selected to the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) Google Cloud Academic All-America teams. The BIG EAST has never had more than one volleyball player honored in a single season. Marquette junior Allie Barber earned a first team distinction, while Creighton senior Jaali Winters and Taryn Kloth were on the second and third team, respectively.
Barber, a biomedical science major, holds a 3.99 grade point average. This is her first recognition as an Academic All-American. The outside hitter guided the Golden Eagles to a 28-7 overall record this season (15-2 BIG EAST) and a berth in the NCAA Regional Semifinal for the first time in program history.
