Big East eliminates intraconference transfer policy

With the passing of the NCAA one-time transfer rule earlier this year, conferences have been adapting and adjusting their own transfer rules, as well. The Big East became the most recent conference to do this on Thursday when the conference announced it would no longer prohibit athletes transferring between schools within the conference.

The rule was always confusing to many, especially with regards to men’s basketball. With so many Big East schools being in the same geographic proximity, there would always be a handful of players recruited by multiple schools in the conference.
