NEW YORK – Georgetown locked up the No. 1 seed in the BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship presented by Jeep with a 2-0 victory over Villanova to start a super Saturday of league action. In the night games, St. John’s secured a first-round playoff bye with a 4-2 win over DePaul. Providence qualified for a tournament berth with a 2-1 win over Xavier on the road. Creighton moved up to fourth in the BIG EAST standings with a 2-1 double overtime victory over Butler. Seton Hall closed out the night with a 2-1 win on the road at Marquette.
