NEW YORK – The Georgetown Hoyas took over the top spot in the men’s soccer BIG EAST standings with a 3-0 win over No. 4 St. John’s in a Top 10 showdown Wednesday night in Queens. No. 7 Georgetown’s win advanced the Hoyas to 5-0-1 in the conference, earning 16 points with three games left to play. The win also secured Georgetown’s place as one of the six teams who will play in the 2019 BIG EAST Men’s Soccer Championship Presented By Jeep, Nov. 9, No. 13 and Nov. 17.
The win for the Hoyas in front of a sellout crowd of 2,305 at Belson Stadium was the fifth in a row.
