Andrew Rowsey Guides Marquette Past Georgetown, 74-65

The Marquette Golden Eagles (10-4, 1-1 Big East) defeated the Georgetown Hoyas (10-3, 0-2 Big East), 74-65, on Saturday afternoon in Milwaukee. Andrew Rowsey, the Big East’s leading scorer, poured in 35 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 6-of-9 from deep and 11-of-11 from the free throw line. The Hoyas, who committed a season-high 25 turnovers, were led by Marcus Derrickson’s 20 points and eight rebounds.

Georgetown was first on the board following a pair of free throws from Jessie Govan after 16 seconds of play, but the lead would last for less than a minute of game time.
