Per Josh Thomson of The Journal News/LoHud.com, Josh Alexander (2018/Iona Prep, N.Y.) went on an unofficial visit to St. John’s on Wednesday.
Alexander, who just completed his second season at Iona Prep, enjoyed a much improved year. Since transferring in time to play his sophomore year, he’s acclimated to the rigors of playing in the CHSAA, one of the toughest leagues in New York State.
The 6-foot-8 forward provides a tough, two-way presence on both ends of the court. He’s an aggressive player down low, banging his way for a finish around the rim. He also has great rebounding instincts and crashes the offensive glass well.
