The Big East has bowed out of the 2016 NCAA Baseball Tournament.
The lone conference representative, the Xavier Musketeers, fell to the UCSB Gauchos 14-5 in Monday's Regional Final in Nashville.
The Musketeers got out to a 2-0 lead before UCSB put up nine runs in the fourth inning.
Xavier finishes the year 32-30, and make the Regional Final for the first time in school history.
With that, the Big East athletic season has concluded. The next contest(s) will be six women's soccer games on August 19.
