As we head into the offseason, here are three questions facing West Virginia:
1. Is Holgorsen still going to be the playcaller?
That’s a question that should get cleared up soon, as head coach Dana Holgorsen hired Jake Spavital as his new offensive coordinator. Spavital returns to Morgantown after stints as playcaller at Texas A&M and Cal and should be ready for the responsibility if Holgorsen is willing to cede those duties. Regardless of that decision, the trio of Holgorsen, Spavital and Joe Wickline (who shifts from offensive coordinator to offensive line coach) working together to construct a balanced, dangerous offense is an exciting proposition.
