The Big 12 closed the door on expansion Monday, announcing that it would stand pat at 10 members after a three-month examination of candidates to join the conference.
So for our Take Two topic this week, we ask: Is expansion dead for good in the Big 12?
Take 1 -- Mitch Sherman: No way.
As a wise colleague suggested to me on Tuesday morning, it’ll resurface as soon as the Big 12 misses the College Football Playoff again. So, likely in about seven weeks, huh? Sounds about right.
Now, can the Big 12 ever find a candidate on which a supermajority of its 10 members agree?
