If you lost interest in Iowa State around the time the Cyclones lost sight of the postseason in late October, take another look before it’s too late.
ISU finishes its first season under coach Matt Campbell on Saturday at home against No. 18 West Virginia in search a third consecutive victory. Iowa State hasn’t won three straight games since September 2012. It last won three straight Big 12 games in 2011 against Texas Tech, Kansas and second-ranked Oklahoma State.
A victory this week would not rival the significance of that victory against the Cowboys, the only triumph in ISU history against a top-five team.
