With the season over, we've been breaking down the Big 12 with our team-by-team season report cards. Today, we look back on Kansas' winless season:
Offense: D
David Beaty aimed to build an exciting offense that played smart and scored points. Kansas ended up finishing second-worst in FBS in points per drive (1.01) and fifth-worst in yards per play (4.4) with a turnover margin of minus-7. In Big 12 games, the Jayhawks put up 12 points per game. This is to be expected when your top three quarterbacks suffer season-ending injuries, your best running back gets hurt and you end up playing true freshmen offensive tackles.
