Bowl games are the opportunity for young or relatively unknown players to impress heading into the offseason. Those overlooked names can often become X-factors that are the difference between a win and a loss in the postseason.
Here’s a look at one player from each Big 12 team who could end up being an X-factor during the bowl season.
WR Ishmael Zamora, Baylor: Corey Coleman's backup was targeted just 11 times during his redshirt freshman season. He finished with eight receptions for 108 yards and two touchdowns. With Coleman out with a sports hernia, Zamora could see more targets in the Russell Athletic Bowl than he saw all season.
